I just got my ass kicked by a croissant.
Friday is "treat day" at the office... so they have some local company bring in a tray (nay, a slab) of goodies to the office. Muffins, Biscotti, and 4 types of Croissants (plain, plain with cheese on top, apple cinnamon, and chocolate hell).
So, I;ve been sticking to the cheese ones lately... because well... I love melted cheese. Today well... I went with the chocolate hell. I'm not sure what it's really called, but that's the name I gave it. It's a regular croissant, but it has a layer of chocolate in side that has cooled and hardened... followed by another layer of chocolate on top... followed by chopped almonds... followed by a heavy drizzle (dare I say downpour...?) of white and milk chocolate... followed by a dusting of powdered sugar.
I think I got a cavity half way through it, but I powered on... only to get 85-90% done, and start to get really concerned that I wasn't going to finish it. Now... I'm not a small guy, and I have had my fair share of buffet trips... but dear lord I'm having trouble typing, and staying focused right now... I have the wickedest food/sugar coma going on right now.
If I was a diabetic, I'm sure I'd have to be double loading shots of insulin right now, just to keep up to the amount of sugar running through me right now... I'm pretty sure my blood has a nice grainy texture to it right now....
